I am able to use Dragon Dictate 5 to dictate into FileMaker Pro 16 text fields.Looks like this dude’s been busy lately first NaturallySpeaking 13, now Dragon for Mac. Easily create custom words such as proper names and specific industry terminology.Same problem when I used FMP16 and Dragon Dictate on a second Mac OS X. I am not, and have not, used an enterprise version or a cloud-based version of speech recognition, as you describe. Dragon for Mac 6.0.8 works extremely well with it. If your EMR is entirely Macintosh dependent, then a viable option as long as you have adequate hardware resources is virtualization for running a Windows version of Dragon on your Macintosh, which is really not an ideal solution and in my opinion a waste of hardware resources.OK, my blood pressure is rising after reading your reply to me, but I’ll remain calm.To answer your question, I’m using MacPractice MD, which is very robust. Everything you said is true.Your copy of Dragon is bound to your hardware. Visualization won’t work because my practice management software won’t run in Windows, and Scott Baker tells me that you cannot run Dragon in Windows on a Mac and dictate into a Mac program. I know Apple has the resources and expertise to add these missing features. It’s pretty good but it lacks all the features needed to run the computer hands-free by voice. I was looking forward to upgrading to macOS Mojave but now it looks like I’m screwed.I know Apple has built-in voice recognition.
